Medium Access Control Protocol for High Altitude Platform Based Massive Machine Type Communication

Massive Machine Type Communication (mMTC) can be used to connect a large number of sensors over wide coverage area. One the places where mMTC applied is in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). A WSN consists several nodes that send their sensing information cluster head (CH), which then forwarded high altitude platform (HAP) station. Sensing sent by at same time through medium, means collision occur. When this happens, node must re-send information, causes energy wastage WSN. In paper, we propose Medium Access Control (MAC) protocol control access from during data transmission avoid collision. The Round Robin, Interrupt and Query every eight hours. initial slot for Robin either randomized or reserved. Analysis performance was done see efficiency network with proposed MAC protocol. Based on series simulations conducted, support system-based HAP monitoring an reserved has greater than slot.
